Explored northern Sardinia of Costa Smeralda and took ferries to Bonifacio in Corsica and the islands of La Maddalena. Wandered through the Catalan-influenced streets of Alghero and hiked down into the dramatic Neptune’s Grotto. Along the way, I discovered the pre‑Renaissance Saccargia church and savored delicious local foods and wines.
